INTRODUCTION
A little background: I traveled to England over the Halloween weekend of 1988 to attend the World Fantasy convention in London. There I met Rob Meades and David Wake of The Drabble Project who asked me to contribute to their upcoming anthology, Drabble II—Double Century. All profits were to go to the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
A drabble is a story/vignette/whatever of exactly one hundred words. Not one more, not one less. I liked the challenge. It was almost as restrictive as doing a teleplay for Monsters. The key is using those 100 words to give readers enough so they can fill in the blanks.
(Look at this: The intro is longer than the story.)
